Whether commanding the decks at Coachella or setting the vibe for an exclusive Hollywood afterparty, DJ Ana Calderon brings an electric energy that bridges music, art, and culture. Born in Peru, raised in Kansas, and now a forever Californian, Ana's background is as diverse as the tunes she drops in the DJ booth. The daughter of a psychedelic musician father and a backpacking artist mother, Ana was born into a culture of music, adventure, and art.
She got her start in music heading up Steve Aoki’s LA-based record label, Dim Mak. Working alongside Aoki, she honed her DJ skills and began throwing some of LA’s most notorious parties. Over the years, Ana has built a reputation as one of the most in-demand DJs, seamlessly blending house, hip-hop, world beats, R&B, indie, soul, disco, Latinx, funk, classic rock/post-punk, and pop into her sets. Ana’s DJ sets transcend formula, weaving together genres to create an experience that feels both curated and spontaneous.
Ana has collaborated on events and projects with music legends like Paul McCartney, Daft Punk, Billie Eilish, and The Strokes. She has also toured with Radiohead as their official warm-up and after-party DJ. Ana has been booked to DJ major music festivals, including Coachella, Desert Daze, and recently, the played main stage at The Friendship festival in February 2025 opening for Disclosure.
Her presence is a fixture at high-profile events like Art Basel, SXSW, NYFW, Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival, The Grammys, The Emmys, The Golden Globes, and The Oscars—where she DJ’d the official 2020 Oscar night party for Parasite, just before the lockdowns.
Ana’s top-tier client roster includes Warner Brothers, Apple TV, FX, HBO/Max, Disney, Amazon Studios, Hulu, Peacock, Netflix, and Universal. In addition to DJing, she is often sought after for music supervision, talent curation, and VIP consulting for special events, projects, and campaigns with her company The Best Hang LLC.
Beyond her career, Ana is passionate about uplifting women in music and the arts and fostering meaningful connections between good people. She co-founded the LA-based entertainment collective woman. and its community safety and well-being initiative, soteria, both of which aim to create a shift in nightlife, entertainment, and festival culture by tackling issues like harassment, mental health, pay equity, discrimination, sustainability, and justice.
When she’s not behind the decks, Ana enjoys making ceramics, hugging redwood trees, and cooking for friends. She also completed her training under Al Gore to become part of the International Climate Reality Leadership Corps, furthering her commitment to sustainability and activism.
